GCF Annual Events

By supporting local events such as the Farmer’s Market, the Golden Fine Arts Festival and the Candlelight Walk, the Golden Civic Foundation has helped to build a lively downtown, thriving economy and strong connection with our community.  In addition to this community support, the Golden Civic Foundation hosts two primary fundraising/friendraising events per year that include:

 

The Golden Summer Jam…  a new summertime event designed to connect with Golden families and residents, promote community involvement and celebrate Golden’s small town friendly atmosphere. In 2017, Golden Summer Jam will be held Friday, July 14th at the Buffalo Rose from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. and will feature live music by local Golden bands, food and fun for all ages. The 42nd Annual Gala and Auction… for more than 45 years, the Golden Civic Foundation’s Annual Gala & Auction has been the event of the year for active members of the Golden community who love our town.  This year’s annual Gala & Auction will take place on Saturday, November 11th at the Marriott Denver West beginning at 5pm and will include dinner, a cash bar, exciting live and silent auctions and musical entertainment by the always-rocking Six Million Dollar Band.

 

This event is the primary fundraiser for the Foundation’s grant program and the more than $5.1 million that has been raised over the past 45 years has been reinvested back into the Golden community to support charitable organizations, public schools, museums and cultural centers in the greater Golden area. Tickets will go on sale in early fall.
