Julie Bartos is a 25-year Golden resident who knows a great place to live when she finds one!  Julie’s career as a Public Relations/Fundraising professional has taken her from Colorado to Silicon Valley and back.  She has more than 25 years of experience with public, private and non-profit organizations including two of the world’s largest high-tech PR firms (with client’s including Apple Computer, Adobe Systems and Digital Equipment Corporation), the Colorado Rapids, Denver Botanic Gardens and Denver Art Museum.  Julie is a 2013 Leadership Golden graduate.  She also served on the City of Golden’s Public Art Commission for four years and for seven years as the PR and Marketing Chair for the Foothills Animal Shelter Board through the facilities’ rebranding, capital campaign and construction of the new, $10 million facility.

As the Director of Community Impact, Julie supports the Golden Civic Foundation primarily with fundraising efforts through event management, community and donor relations and communications.  A 1987 graduate of The Colorado College, Julie earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English and was a proud member of the schools’ Women’s Soccer team that placed third in the NCAA Division 1 Championships.  Julie is a CSU Extension Colorado Master Gardener, a passionate animal welfare proponent and is active in supporting her University of Colorado and Colorado State University collegiate daughters.
