PREPARE FOR LIFTOFF!

The Golden Civic Foundation’s 47th Annual Gala & Auction, will come into orbit Saturday, October 22nd at the Colorado School of Mines Lockridge Arena. This year’s “Planet Golden: Next Generation Neon & Old School Alien,” presented by Coors Brewing Co., will take place from 5-11:00pm at the Colorado School of Mines’ Lockridge Arena. The futuristic-themed evening will include a Coors AU Space Arcade with intergalactic games, entertainment and space exploration robotics and artifacts, a Confluence Companies Costume Contest, open bar featuring extraterrestrial drinks provided by Coors Brewing Co., State 38 Distilling and Miners Saloon, live painting by local artist Jesse Crock, a seated dinner, exciting live and super silent auctions, and a “Silent Disco” neon dance after party, hosted by the Buffalo Rose.  As per the annual tradition, all guests are encouraged to wear “out of this world” costumes to help bring the event theme to life. Tickets are $150/each.

What do the event proceeds support?

Proceeds from this stellar celebration will be used to help our special community of Golden transition into the future by supporting many important projects that might not happen otherwise. General proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Golden Civic Foundation’s “For the Good of Golden” Community Grant Program which provides grants to non-profits, schools and civic organizations that make a positive impact on the quality of life for our Golden residents. Last year, the Golden Civic Foundation invested over $228,000 into the Golden community and most of these funds were raised at last year’s Gala. Click HERE for to see our 2021/2022 Community Impact Report.  Additionally, funds raised during our annual “B.I.G. Ideas in Golden” Paddle Raise will benefit the new Miners Alley Performing Arts Center development project.

How can I get involved with this year’s Gala?

1. Sign Up as an Event Sponsor

The MOST significant way to make an impact is to sign up and be an event sponsor. We have designed our sponsorships with many giving level options. Click the button below to download a PDF of details for each sponsorship level and show your commitment to your community. Please reach out to Heather Schneider, Executive Director, at Heather@GoldenCivicFoundation.org if you’re interested and/or if you have any questions.

2. Donate an Item

Our auction will look a lot different this year as we will not be hosting our traditional large silent auction but instead have planned several other fun fundraising and entertainment activities for our guests. Here’s what we’re looking for in terms of community donations to support our fundraising efforts for guests at the Gala:

  • SPACE BALL GAME: We are looking for gift certificates/cards and ticket donations that Gala guests can “win” in this moonwalk adventure.
  • SUPER SILENT AUCTION: We will feature 25-30 higher-value ($250-$2500) donations that include goods, artwork, outdoor toys and activities (bikes, paddleboards, skiing/skis, golf, bike racks, etc), liquor, sports and cultural tickets, adventures and experiences and rental properties.
  • LIVE AUCTION ITEMS: Our live auction items are our BIG ticket items that our Auctioneers will WOW the crowd with. The types of items we’re looking for include unique experiences, vacation getaways to highly desirable locations, high-end toys, home accessories and artwork. All ideas are welcome!

We depend on the generous support of local and regional businesses and private donors to help us continue our important community programming. Please email Julie Bartos, Director of Community Impact, at Julie@GoldenCivicFoundation.org if you have an item to donate.

We realize that you receive many requests from worthwhile causes, but with one donation to the Golden Civic Foundation, you will be able to make a BIG impact on the Golden community as we support ALL of Golden’s non-profit organizations.

Questions?

We ALWAYS love to hear from our community so please reach out with any questions (or if you’re interested in volunteering with our fun decorations or planning committees) at ContactUs@GoldenCivicFoundation.org.
