Julie Bartos is a 25-year Golden resident who knows a great place to live when she finds one!  Julie’s career as a Public Relations/Fundraising professional has taken her from Colorado to Silicon Valley and back.  She has more than 25 years of experience with public, private and non-profit organizations including two of the world’s largest high-tech PR firms (with client’s including Apple Computer, Adobe Systems and Digital Equipment Corporation), the Colorado Rapids, Denver Botanic Gardens and Denver Art Museum. Julie is a 2013 Leadership Golden graduate.  She also served on the City of Golden’s Public Art Commission for four years and for 7 years as the PR and Marketing Chair for the Foothills Animal Shelter Board through the facilities’ rebranding, capital campaign and construction of the new, $10 million facility.

As Development Director for the Golden Civic Foundation Julie supports the Foundation primarily with fundraising efforts through event management, community and donor relations and communication. A 1987 graduate of The Colorado College, Julie earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English and was a proud member of the schools’ Women’s Soccer team that placed second in the NCAA Division 1 Championships.  Julie is a CSU Extension Colorado Master Gardener, a passionate animal welfare proponent and is very active in supporting her two teenage daughters via the Golden High School PTA and their Soccer and Dance Booster Clubs.
