Ways to Support the Golden Civic Foundation

1. COMMIT TO BEING A MONTHLY DONOR OR PROVIDE A ONE-TIME DONATION:

It’s simple to set up your recurring monthly donation or a one-time donation below either with your credit card or checking account. We also accept checks – made payable to the Golden Civic Foundation, P.O. Box 1538, Golden, CO 80402.

2. PARTICIPATE IN WORKPLACE GIVING:

One of the easiest ways to increase your gift to the Golden Civic Foundation is through your employer’s matching gift program. Thousands of companies, including corporations, foundations, not-for-profit organizations, and associations, match their employees’ charitable contributions—sometimes for as much as double the amount of the initial gift.

Many companies will match personal gifts, such as cash, stocks, marketable securities, and the value of your volunteer time. Companies may also match gifts from employee spouses, retirees, and board members. Conditions and criteria for gift matching vary by employer.

Find out if your company matches employee donations. If your company does not currently match employee donations, you might suggest it consider doing so. Please contact us if we can provide additional information required to set up the Golden Civic Foundation with your company’s workplace giving program.

3. BECOME AN EVENT SPONSOR:
The Golden Civic Foundation organizes community-focused fundraising events. Sponsoring one or both of the Golden Civic Foundation fundraising events will help strengthen your company’s reputation, increase your corporate profile, and connect you with the local community. Please contact us to learn more about sponsoring opportunities for both businesses and individual.

4. OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

IRA Charitable Rollover: If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit the Golden Civic Foundation and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity, such as ours, without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short. This law no longer has an expiration date so you are free to make annual gifts to our organization this year and well into the future.

Leave a Legacy Gift: A legacy gift to is a planned future donation to a charity, given through a will, real estate or other form of designation. It is a decision that each person makes in their own financial planning process, taking into account their charitable wishes and values. Consider a legacy gift to the Golden Civic Foundation when you are evaluating your personal, family and financial needs as well as your long-term charitable giving. There are different options for legacy gifts and a legacy gift may provide significant tax benefits. Every legacy gift, regardless of the amount, is important and cherished.
