Wild West Oktoberfest Bavarian Banquet

5:00pm- Event Begins!

Upon check in, each guest will be given their own commemorative ceramic beer stein. Thanks to a very generous donation from Coors Brewing Co. we will have an open bar of eight different variety of Coors and AC Golden brewed beers on tap as well as Golden City Brewery’s specially brewed root beer (bottled water will also be available for guests). Appetizers will be served by the Bohemian Biergarten.

5:00-6:00pm – Musical Performance by the Polka Folka & Activities in the Confluence Corral

POLKA FOLKA will be performing an eclectic mix of traditional European polkas and waltzes, pop tunes in a polka style, and regional Mexican and U.S. polka styles.

During this time, we have a lot of GREAT entertainment in store for our guests including:

• Stacy & Joe Fowler, and their daughter Presley, from the Golden Hayride will serve as our Master of Ceremonies (aka, emcee) for our Friday night’s festivities.
• Free rides on the mechanical bull – Yee-Haw!
• The Golden History Museum and the Buffalo Bill Museum will be onsite to share information about Golden’s rich German and western history.
• “Pickles,” the miniature horse, will be visiting and ready for guests to stop by her petting corral.
• The Westernaires will be on-site for their horsemanship performances and demonstrations.
• There will also fun games (think corn hole and a barrel game) and a themed photo wall to capture this fun event!

5:45pm – Golden STRONG Steinholding Contest

The Golden Hayride will be holding our first ever GOLDEN STRONG stein holding contest and contestants will include some of our key City and Community leaders.

6:00-7:00pm – Dinner Buffet Served

Golden’s Seasoned Swine BBQ will open the dinner buffet! Guests will have assigned seating in the Biergarten. We request that everyone is seated at 7pm so we can begin the evening’s entertainment and program. Coors will have whiskey tasting beginning at 7pm and will offer samples of their Five Trail Blended American Whiskey (Batch 002) and Barmen 1873 Bourbon from Coors Whiskey Co.

7:00pm – Program Begins

Our evening entertainment begins with Golden-local, Carmen Goodwin, singing our National Anthem. The Denver Kickers Club Schuhplattlers will perform followed by the Confluence Costume Contest. Costume finalists will be on stage and have a chance to win some great prizes (see FAQ for details!).

7:35pm – Ein Prosit Toast!

Program begins with a traditional Ein Prosit toast with Peter Coors, Jr. and other key leaders. Our auctioneer extraordinaire, Shawn Hagler, is back to give us a great live auction and paddle raise benefiting Foothills Art Center and their backyard seating project.

8:30pm – 10:00pm – Musical performance & dancing to the Triple C Cowboys

Hosted by the Buffalo Rose, the evening will wrap up with a high-energy, boot scooting performance by the Triple C Cowboys from Cody, Wyoming!
