GCF Annual Events

For over 50 years, the Golden Civic Foundation has helped to build a lively downtown, thriving economy and strong connection with our community. In addition to this community support, the Golden Civic Foundation hosts two primary fundraising/friend-raising events per year that include:

The 43rd Annual Gala and Auction… for more than 43 years, the Golden Civic Foundation’s Annual Gala & Auction has been the event of the year for active members of the Golden community who love our town. This year’s annual Gala & Auction took place on Saturday, October 20th at the Colorado School of Mines’ Lockridge.  We met our goal and raised over $150,000 to support our Community Grant Program and the Golden High School’s Community Track Renovation projects…A BIG THANKS to our sponsors, donors and 530 attendees that made this possible.

This event is the primary fundraiser for the Golden Civic Foundation’s Grant Program and more than $5.3 million that has been raised over the past 45 years has been reinvested back into the Golden community to support charitable organizations, public schools, museums and cultural centers in the greater Golden area.

The Golden Summer Jam…  a new summertime event designed to connect with Golden families and residents, promote community involvement and celebrate Golden’s small town friendly atmosphere. The 3rd Annual Golden Summer Jam will be held on Thursday, June 27th, 2019 at the Colorado Railroad Museum and will feature live music by local Golden bands, food and fun for all ages!

“The Golden Civic Foundation was instrumental in the purchase and renovation of our beautiful building, and has given each of our organizations a home we can be proud of.  But more than that, over the years, the Foundation has supported all of us with grants that have enabled us to grow our membership, enhance our library, expand our museum, and purchase tools to maintain the trails we love so much.  Supporting the Golden Civic Foundation supports all of us.”
