Golden Civic Foundation Annual Events

For nearly 50 years, the Golden Civic Foundation has helped to build a lively downtown, thriving economy and strong connection with our community. In addition to this community support, the Golden Civic Foundation hosts two primary fundraising/friend-raising events per year:

Wild West Oktoberfest

The Golden Civic Foundation has partnered with Coors Brewing Co., to present Oktoberfest with a Wild West kick! Our annual Fall event, Wild West Oktoberfest, highlights Golden’s unique history and culture and celebrates the Golden community with a two-day event – one day for Golden locals (adults) and the other for the broader public – featuring Western and German family-friendly activities, live music, great food, and of course, BEER! This event, which replaced a decades long-standing annual Gala & Auction, is the Foundation’s primary fundraiser for our annual Community & Special Grants Program that has provided more than $6.9 million in funding to non-profit organizations that provide social, civic, cultural and education-based services to Golden residents.

The Golden Summer Jam

This summertime event is designed to connect with Golden families and residents, promote community involvement and celebrate Golden’s small town friendly atmosphere. This “friendraiser/fundraiser” is held annually at the Colorado Railroad Museum and features live music by local Golden bands, food and fun for all ages!

“The Golden Civic Foundation was instrumental in the purchase and renovation of our beautiful building, and has given each of our organizations a home we can be proud of.  But more than that, over the years, the Foundation has supported all of us with grants that have enabled us to grow our membership, enhance our library, expand our museum, and purchase tools to maintain the trails we love so much.  Supporting the Golden Civic Foundation supports all of us.”
