The 3rd Annual Golden Summer Jam took place on Thursday, June 27th and highlighted Dorado, Bowregard and The Great Salmon Famine, three talented bands with Golden connections, as well as youth musicians from the Colorado School of Rock’s Golden/Lakewood studio. Guests also had the chance to explore and experience the Museum’s scenic, 15-acre railyard that is home to more than 100 locomotives, ride on the Galloping Goose Railway, view the unique, fully operational miniature garden railway, and, kids were able to climb the walls of the Colorado Mountain Club’s Bouldering Bus, and jump and slide in a super-size “bouncy house” provided through the partnership of the Golden Backpack Program and The Drake Durkee Foundation! Food and beverage were provided by New Terrain Brewing Co. (beer), Ace Liquor (wine), Maui Shave Ice, Bob’s Atomic Burgers, the Crock Spot and Moontime Crepes food trucks.
